Feline Detectives and Makers of Mischief

Folks, this week my blogging plans have gone decidedly awry. Why? Well, I’ll tell you. We’ve had our hands full making our new feline housemates feel at home:

McCready and Gilmour.

McCready and Gilmour.

Named after Pearl Jam and Pink Floyd guitarists Mike McCready and David Gilmour respectively, McCready and Gilmour are about 14 months old, brothers – one more confident, the other quieter – and both completely full of beans! At the moment, they’re still getting used to everything so it’s a been a bit tricky to get a lot of good photos.

The boys arrived last Sunday, and we quickly made our spare ‘utility/all-purpose’ dumping room into a bolthole for them. You can see short clips of them getting up the courage to have a game with us earlier in the week here:

and here:

They’ve got a lot more confident (and energetic) since!

Anyway, as a result of all the excitement, my blogging (and my crafting) has taken a bit of a back seat. But watch this space, as I’ll soon be updating you on my (currently somewhat barely perceptible) progress with the fussball table project and on how Mrs Colin is coming along. Colin’s soon-to-be lady love currently looks like this:

Not much to look at the moment, granted, but Mrs Colin in her finished glory is bound to prove irresistible.

There is also a post in the offing about the Valentine’s Day heart I made for Mark…

… as well as news about my recent vintage mohair knitting project:

Now I just need to find a minute for some focused writing!
